Inspired by the golden spirals we see in nature, Mike started these Japanese carp (in Japan, no less) as two overlapping and opposite spirals. Just like yin and yang, they circle each other in perfect harmony.
Of course achieving this balance is not always as simple as observing it in nature; when you find it in this drawing, it serves as a reminder to find balance in our own lives as well.
