Golden Bamboo (Framed)

Out of all the cities I spent time in while traveling through Japan, I spent about 2 weeks total in Kyoto. There was so much to see and do in that place, I kept extending my stay.

One of the most famous places in Kyoto is the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. I had never seen bamboo trees this tall in my life.

I got to experience a rare Kyoto snowfall while walking between 50-ft tall chutes of bamboo, and it was one of the most peaceful moments during my travels.

By the time I reached Nagasaki, I could not get that beautiful walk in nature out of my head, so I decided to use it as inspiration instead.

The golden frame was an added touch of three dimensions, because I wanted the bamboo to come alive. I wanted them to break through the confines of the frame and grow as entropically as they do in nature.

This high resolution reproduction of the original artwork is giclée printed on archival quality, acid-free paper.

It does not have any reflective elements, including gold foil or metallic ink.
