Empire State Building

“When I look at my artwork, it makes me feel good, and makes my new place feel complete. It’s truly a ‘work of art’ 👌 and the gold really pops.”

TJ Savona, Finance

A commissioned piece of the Empire State Building for my cousin-turned-client TJ!

After graduating from college, I was working in New York for a little over a year before moving back to Miami. I would walk from Penn Station to my office in Murray Hill, and intentionally took 34th Street just to pass by the Empire State Building.

Even after all those times going into the city, I couldn’t find one picture of the Empire State Building for reference! I passed by the thing almost every day for a year and still always just admired with my eyes and not my camera.

Luckily when I was probably 7 or 8 years old, my dad and I went to the famous skyscraper and I brought home a scale model from the gift shop. Nearly 2 decades later and here I am taking measurements from it to draw a commissioned art piece.
